At noon (EST), two-time F Production Champion Jesse Prather starts his first E Production National Championship race from third in the No. 34 Prather Racing/Moss Motors Mazda Miata. After making quick work of polesitter Greg Ira in the No. 2 CU Yacht Charter Datsun 240-Z, Prather sets his sights on then-leader and defending EP Champion Thomas Thrash.
